Meet the Canine Icon

Wild Thang, an eight-year-old Pekingese from Coos Bay, Oregon, has been crowned the winner of the 2024 World's Ugliest Dog Contest. The annual competition, hosted by the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California, recognizes dogs with unique and unconventional appearances.

A Triumph for Wild Thang

Wild Thang, a five-time competitor in the contest, finally emerged victorious. Her distinctive features, including her protruding tongue, bulging eyes, and overbite, captured the hearts of both the judges and the audience.

As the winner, Wild Thang and her owner will receive a $7,500 cash prize and a flight to New York City for a special television appearance.

A Celebration of Uniqueness

The World's Ugliest Dog Contest celebrates the beauty in embracing differences. It showcases that even the most unconventional dogs can bring joy and amusement to those around them.

Wild Thang's victory is a testament to the unconditional love and acceptance that all dogs deserve, regardless of their appearance.
